Wan Kamalruzaman Wan Hussein – Head Waiter

Please be informed that our waiter, En Wan Kamaruzaman Wan Hussein, has sustained serious head injuries from a viscous attack at home on  21^st February, 2007.

He is warded at Wad 1 Selatan at Hospital Universiti Sains Malaysia, Kubang Kerian, after undergoing a head operation.  According to his Doctor, he will not be his normal self again even after a full recovery.

En Wan Kamal, as fondly called by our members, is the sole bread winner in the family and has six young children to look after.    As such, we appeal to all our members to show their concern and sympathy by contributing generously to the “Tabung” we have set up specially for him.  Your kind co-operation to this fund would be very much appreciated.

Please be informed that Royal Perak Golf Club Berhad has taken over the operations of Kelab Golf Diraja Perak with effect from 1^st March, 2007.  No signing facilities will be available and payment will have to be made by  coupons/master/visa card.

February 2007 Inter-Team Doubles Tournament

The tournament was held on 24^th February, 2007 (Saturday) at 5.30pm. A total of42 members participated in the tournament. The members were divided into 3 teams namely ‘Team Rhumba’, ‘Team Cha Cha’ and ‘Team Tango’.  The format of the play was the basis of who could reach 8 first would win the tournament.

Team Rhumba was captained by Dato (Dr) Rusli, Team Cha Cha by Mr. Lee Eng Hua and Team Tango by Mr. Robert Chee respectively.

The competition was played by participants with lots of gusto and passion without knowing that the prizes this time were the same for every participant regardless of which team emerged the champion of the competition. This was the first time in our tournament that we were giving away good quality overnight traveling bags with our club official logos on it as prizes to all participants.  We hope the bags will be useful to every participant.

We were  indeed very fortunate to have with us at the prize presentation ceremony our President, Tuan Hj Wan Yahya Wan Salleh. Though he had a very tight schedule elsewhere he made it a point to be with us and to give away the prizes at about 10.15pm. Thanks a lot, President.

We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to those who had donated in kind and those who had assisted us in making the tournament a fantastic and successful one.

 Our next senior tournament will be held in April, 2007.

KGCC Junior Singles Age Group Competition

The competition will be held on 23^rd March, 2007 at the Sports Complex. It will be  divided into the following age groups:-

Under 10 Boys & Girls

                   Under 12 Boys & Girls

                   Under 14 Boys & Girls

                   Under 16 Boys & Girls

                   Under 18 Boys & Girls

Parents who are interested to have their children participate in the tournament kindly register their children’s names on the notice board at the Sports Complex on or before (Thursday) 15^th March, 2007.

Prizes are sponsored by Wilson.

OBITUARY:

The General Committee, members and staff of KGCC would like to extend their heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family of Mr. Chu Jin Kiat whose mother passed away on the  18^th February, 2007.
